God Don't Sing is a is a short film I did with Zsaknor Powe, the writer/director, who was a student at NYU. It's the story of a drug addict trying to straighten himself out who meets a nice counselor at a LES drop-in center. After some success, he backslides, and when he returns to the center he finds that the counselor has died of an overdose.

The counselor was played by Chayenne Espinal, and Mike Blum plays the minister of the church where the center is located.
