The American Mysteries
The American Mysteries, a Creation production, ran at La Mama E.T.C. and then the Southern Theatre in Minneapolis for a summer. Written and directed by Creation co-founder Matthew Macguire, It’s a noir piece, an homage to Raymond Chandler, and we were fortunate enough to have M. [Michael] Harris play our Marlowe-esque P.I. Michael was born in noir, lived a noir lifestyle, and had a smooth, wry, noir way about him that was perfect for the role. We also had the (now) world-famous architects Elizabeth Diller and Ricardo Scofidio as our set designers.
Also appearing in the photos here are Andrew Arnault as the Powerhouse Mechanic, Joanne Munisteri as the Assassin, and Leonard Petit as the One-Armed Man. I played the greedy, corrupt Mayor.
